Single Vineyard Wines
2019

A true symbiosis of the terroir of our top locations and our creative work in the vineyard and cellar.

Dorsheimer Pittermännchen Riesling

The south-facing vineyard, situated at an elevation of 160 to 210m above sea level, is with a gradient of 40 to 55% one of our steepest sites. The stoney soil mixed with components of slate, quartzite and sandy clay is a fantastic terroir for great Riesling with good potential to age.

Ripe stone fruits, suggestive of peach and nectarine, characterise the wonderfully warm and intense aromas. The elegantly integrated acidity gives a fresh, lifted feeling on the palate. The mineral notes combine with the fruit flavours for a juicy, harmonious taste. A wine with a great balance and an excellent structure, which offers potential for good ageing.

Bingerbrücker Römerberg Weissburgunder

The view of the Nahe estuary is as impressive as the terroir of the vineyard. Over a total of 6.83 ha, the heat retaining soil provides optimum conditions.

Fine fruit aromas with notes of ripe pear and crisp apple can be discovered. The fruity tones evolve together with a mineral note when tasting this wine. A wonderfully soft, velvety Weißburgunder with a full, smooth mouth feel. The wine leaves a persistent round and harmonious impression.

A true symbiosis of the terroir of our top locations and our creative work in the vineyard and cellar.

Burg Layer Schlossberg Riesling

The south-facing slope lies within sight of the estate, at a height of 155 to 216 m. Most of the property, covering 2.4 ha, is planted with Riesling.

Schlossberg is a superb location that produces elegant, minerally wines with a subtly fruity bouquet. This Riesling offers aromas of ripe honeydew melons. On the palate, it is complex and multi-layered, long lasting with a balanced interplay of sweetness and acidity.

Burg Layer Hölle Riesling

The vineyards, which face south-south-east, are immediately adjacent to the village of Burg Layen. We cultivate mainly Riesling grapes on 4.7 ha.

A single-site wine with plenty of character and structure. Finesse, body, elegant, subtle fruit, from ripe apricot, then delicately herby spicy notes – this wine is truly complex and diverse. On the palate, powerful and ultra-fine with a well-balanced acidity.

Bingerbrücker Römerberg Weissburgunder

The view of the Nahe estuary is as impressive as the terroir of the vineyard. Over a total of 6.83 ha, the heat retaining soil provides optimum conditions.

Perfectly integrated accents of subtle vanilla give this unusual Weissburgunder a velvety mouthfeel and a creamy texture. On the nose, we find aromas of ripe pear, subtly underscored by delicate, nutty notes. Long-lasting with a complex finish.

Cuvée Lucie

A seductive fragrance of ripe vineyard peach, subtly underscored by a hint of fruity lime. This off-dry cuvée is great fun. Subtly fruity, juicy and fresh and yet utterly drinkable. A real pleasure.

Dorsheimer Riesling

Fully ripe grapes mean that this wine is packed with fruit with a velvety mouthfeel. On the nose, exotic hints of ripe figs and dates are coupled with subtle passionfruit notes. On the palate, it is juicy and vibrant, with a lovely fruity sweetness and an elegant mineral note.

Münster-Sarmsheimer Grauburgunder

An elegant interplay of colours showing light bronze with delicate golden reflections entrances our senses, and this is followed by a subtle fragrance of ripe pear and honey. A creamy mouthfeel and fruity finish round off this fabulous sensory experience.
